If you know anyone from an area lake please let them know about the $5,000 shoot the lake association is funding and ask if their lake association would be willing to make a donation to the effort of clearing cormorants from the area.
Aquatic Weed Harvesting: Tim M
Applications have been submitted to the DNR for the open water pathway systems on both Cannon and Wells lakes. The board approved the following fees for this June’s harvest. An email will go out early the week of April 11 with information regarding payment and request for harvesting. The payments will be due by the end of April to give the DNR time to approve the applications.
Option 1: $635 - $35 DNR application fee plus $600 harvesting fee
Lakefront property plus pathway which would include a 5,000 square foot area in front of your dock.
Option 2: $250
Pathway to Cooks Point - This would create a pathway from approximately 100 feet from shore out to Cook Point plus a pathway from Warsaw to Cooks Point.
Option 3: Donation
Make a donation to help with the $25,000 cost of the project. This would help in keeping a path open from Cooks Point to Warsaw.

Your name would be placed on the buoy you are sponsoring.

The board hopes to set up the association as a 501(c)3. This would require some type of detailed bookkeeping and financial reporting. Tim M will look into what accounting system would provide the record keeping required for a 501(c)3.
